The Butter Bean Cafe in Downtown Ethridge
Next to the police station in downtown Ethridge is the Butter Bean Cafe. Since this is the only restaurant that isn't in the section with the other Amish country businesses, it is where the locals go to eat! Right across the parking lot is a train caboose with picnic tables for kids to play on. The butter Bean Cafe has southern favorites, seafood plates, and steaks that would please even the most enormous appetites!
The butter bean is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 am to 8 pm during the winter, and 11 am to 8 pm Tuesday through Thursday during the summer. Make sure to see their Facebook page to ask questions or see what hours they will keep. *The prices on the menu may not be the same when you arrive, and they may have a new menu item, so call before you go if you want the most up-to-date information on their foods.*

The Amish of Ethridge team review: We like the Butter Bean Cafe and believe visitors will too! Their steaks and seafood meals are delicious. The husband and wife team do the cooking, and the serving size is larger and more significant than in other restaurants. The Vietnam veteran had a lot of neat stories to tell and knew a lot about the local area.
