Amish Of Ethridge Allie Grace Cookies

Bakeries, Beverages, and Nightlife

Lawrence county has plenty of sweet treats and drink places to satisfy your cravings. The south has always been known for its sweet desserts and drinks. We will feature a few types of drinks since the alcoholic drinks are also famous around the globe! From the Kentucky line down into Tennessee, the sweet tea line has you drinking various teas with sugars and honey. The cakes, pies, and tarts will have you asking about the fruits used to make the treats so sweet! Below are a few places you will want to see for their sweet treats and fruity drinks! Below the bakeries are the nutrition beverage places that sell a variety of teas, smoothies, shakes, and coffee. The bar scene and nightlife are below the beverages section and highlight what we have to offer for your choice of brew house with a cold beer and country dancing. We hope you enjoy your time here in the area!

Allie Grace Bakery

Allie Grace Bakery is located right across the highway from the Best Western Plus Hotel, where you can get a sweet treat or savory eats! So far, Allie does not make donuts at the time of writing but loves to make cupcakes and cookies along with breakfast cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissants, poppy seed scones, and muffins. In addition, cheesecake and brownies can be found in the display case if you are lucky enough to get there first! Allie Grace Bakery is open 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday! Most of us locals have used Sunrise Bakery whenever we wanted doughnuts or cakes. This family-owned business has been around for many years, and the team at Sunrise Bakery get up extra early to make these doughnuts fresh from scratch. They also have doughnut holes where the inside of the doughnut is cut out to make these extra sweet pieces of dough. Sunrise Bakery is open from 4:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and 4:30 am to 12 pm on Saturdays. Call (931) 762-5834 to see what they have in the display case during your visit or to order a dozen doughnuts for your own!

The topping donuts and donuts holes are a crowd favorite. We are talking about non-alcoholic drinks here, as nightlife is covered below this section. We love coffee and tea here and will feature these places first. The nutritional teas and specialty drinks will follow as they are found all over the area and vary quite a bit from each other. We are not giving health advice here, but each of the companies listed below has something good for you according to the places they get their drinks.

The Brew (The Sweet Spot) in Lawrenceburg

The building is now the New Moon Antiques and The Brew changed their name to The Sweet Spot so we have updated the link below but left the original text to tell people of the change.

Formerly named "Southern Brew" on the square, they have adopted their nickname and now call themselves The Brew. They are our top drink recommendation due to their wide variety and proximity to local tourism destinations! They have both coffee and tea in both hot and cold ways! There are also fruity drinks and kid's drinks, so bring them with you! The Brew is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm.

They also have a large variety of foods and teas for those who want more than coffee! They have very high-quality drinks and foods as they also roast their own coffee beans and will send them to you as part of their "coffee to your door" program if you have a favorite coffee from them. Co-Work Coffee is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 8 am until 2 pm. Nightlife in the area is very limited due to the religious nature of the majority of the population; the bar scene is left to only a few places to have a drink. There is currently not a dedicated martini bar with piano lounge music or a thriving euro-pop rave party place with EDM music blasting. Or metal head thrashing industrial warehouse with heavy metal bands screaming behind a caged mosh pit. Instead, you can find a few country bars where you can line dance and have a beer with someone who may buy you a drink and ask you where you are from. They often play country music with a bar menu to eat while your conversation runs long. Some of these places require past or current military service or are clubs where you must go with a member or join. We will tell you which ones we would direct you to based on our opinions at the time of writing.

Depot Street Break Room Buildings.

Depot Street Break Room Buildings.

Depot Street Brews and Cues

At one time in history, the Huckety Buck train depot was on Depot Street, and the travelers would get off the train to go home for the day. The Lawrenceburg Hotel and other hangouts would welcome the travelers getting off the trains. The pool hall was the place to be back in those days. Today this is a smoke-free and family-friendly pool hall where you can set the table in standard or 9-ball configurations. Eat pizza, hotdogs, hamburgers, and other foods while you trick-shot your way around the table. Kids have arcades and other games while the adults and bigger kids play pool. They have plenty of drinks, from sodas to beers, to keep you cool while taking a break and hanging out at the Depot Street Brews and Cues. They are open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6 pm to 3 am.
